For over a decade I have been listening to this Manchester trio with the hope of seeing them live, just once, across the pond. But now five spectacular albums in, and still no trip from either of us, I have had to let that dream fade somewhat. But that has not affected my love of their music, especially when I am writing.
With a sound that fuses indie with jazz and folk, I Am Kloot are a three piece filled with extraordinary artists. With a lyrical style as unique as song titles "86 TV’s" and "A Strange Arrangement of Color," Bramwell writes songs any painter or writer could instantly appreciate. Some dark, some playful, these heartfelt lyrics would be empty words without the the tempered basslines of Peter Jobson and the unique jazz influenced drum kit of Andy Hargreaves.

Now I will not pretend to be the first in the world to suggest you should be listening to I Am Kloot, but I am okay with that. But, you really should be. After listening to a few of the tracks below, you can purchase any of their CD/LP's, including the Mercury Prize nominated "Sky At Night", at their on-line store or via iTunes.
If you would like to connect with the band socially, you can follow them over on Twitter and Facebook. But if you want the inside scoop on anything I Am Kloot, I would really suggest you follow the I Am Kloot Fan club on Twitter.
See you Wednesday for the Track of the Day.
