Music Monday - Jack White

When I think of the Renaissance men of music, Jack White III is right at the top of the list.

Jack is best known for his dynamic performances with his first band The White Stripes. But when Jack and Meg White took what turned out to be a permanent hiatus, The White Stripes became the catalyst for his ever growing resume.

The juggling of two new bands, producing albums for a range of artists from Conan O'Brien to Jerry Lee Lewis, all while working on his first solo release seems normal for him.  But unwilling to rust away, or just unwilling to rest, he has now been tapped to score Disney's upcoming film "The Lone Ranger" starring Johnny Depp.

Whats next most ask? My money is on Jack switching from guitar to paint brush to touch up a few faded spots on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.

Now try and take a few minutes in your busy week to watch or listen to this Renaissance artist.  First, a performance of one of The White Stripes hits filmed during his "Amex Unstaged" show in New York, which was directed by Gary Oldman.  But if Jack White's music is not your cup of tea, I would recommend the first few minutes of the "Inside Look" video below to see what happens when Jack accidentally bloodies Mr. Oldman.
