That is how I would describe this week’s ‘Music Monday’ live performances. Suuns ,a four piece out of Montreal, is another band that I rely heavily upon when writing. Their music, difficult to put into one category, is somewhat a mix of rock and electronica that is unique to say the least.
Their debut album from 2010, “Zeroes QC,” is filled with tracks leaving the patterns of pop behind with vocals shifting from the soft to the altered. For me, it is the hypnotic pace in their songs that really allows me to immerse myself in my writing.
But what is next for Suuns, I am not quite sure. The last I read, they were recording new tracks for their follow up to their debut, which I sincerely hope is due out sooner rather than later.
If you like what you see, or listen to below, you can find their debut over at iTunes or see them out on tour during the first week of December in Europe.
If you would like more info on Suuns, or want to connect socially with the band, you can check them out on Twitter and Facebook.
As a bonus, their label, Secretly Canadian Records, has also made the tracks Arena and Up Past The Nursery available for free download. Just follow the links or head on over to their label.
See you next Monday!
