Some tracks can keep that freshly printed vinyl smell, no matter the number of times you listen to them. Today's Track of the Day, 'Stamp', by the Canadian indie trio
The Rural Alberta Advantage, is one of those tracks. Originally released on their 2011 critically acclaimed second album 'Departing', it was as if I had just heard it for the first time today.
That is something, as this is a big song. I am not sure it is Hulk big, but it is at least the size of Thor. With a pounding drum and a ripping vocal, you will find yourself singing along to this track each time you are lucky enough to hear it.
Now, if you would like to pick up "Stamp", or any of their back catalogue, you can find it on
iTunes,
Saddle Creek Records (US) or at
Paper Bag Records (Canada).
They are currently out on a
Canadian tour supporting Dan Mangan, so be sure to check them out in a city near you. I know I am on Saturday. As well, if you would like to connect with the band socially, give them a follow on
Twitter.Have a great weekend.
